Student Collaborative Projects

Real partnerships driving financial recovery through team-based learning experiences. Our students work together on practical solutions that make a difference in Canadian communities.

Community Partnership Initiative

Since early 2024, our students have been collaborating with local financial counseling centers across Quebec and Ontario. These partnerships aren't just academic exercises – they're real-world applications where teams of 4-5 students work directly with community organizations.

  • Developed debt management workshops for three community centers
  • Created bilingual financial literacy resources used by over 200 families
  • Established ongoing mentorship programs connecting students with community members
  • Designed mobile-friendly budgeting tools specifically for rural communities

Collaborative Achievement Outcomes

47 Team Projects Completed
156 Students Participated
23 Community Partners

Our collaborative approach combines structured teamwork with real-world financial challenges. Students form diverse teams that bring together different backgrounds and skill sets. Rather than working in isolation, they learn to leverage each team member's strengths while addressing actual financial recovery needs in Canadian communities.

The program runs throughout the academic year, with intensive collaboration periods during fall and spring semesters. Teams typically consist of 4-6 students who work together for 6-8 months on sustained projects. This extended collaboration period allows for deep learning about both financial concepts and effective teamwork strategies.
